Sewing and Quilting Class

Description: Join us for a fun and creative sewing and quilting class where you’ll learn the basics of quilting, sewing techniques, and how to create beautiful quilts! Whether you’re a beginner or have some sewing experience, this class will guide you step-by-step through the process of making a quilt from start to finish.

What You’ll Learn Session 1:

  • Introduction to quilting tools and equipment (sewing machine basics, rotary cutters, rulers, etc.)
  • Understanding fabric types and choosing the right materials
  • How to cut fabric pieces accurately for quilt blocks
  • Basic sewing techniques: piecing, pressing, and stitching
  • Assembling quilt blocks

Session Two:

  • How to put rows together
  • Choosing correct batting and backing
  • Binding your quilt for a professional finish

Materials Needed:

  • Sewing machine
  • Fabric (instructions provided before class)
  • Quilting ruler and rotary cutter
  • Thread, pins, and needles

Duration: Two  (4-hour sessions)
